Colleagues at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) in Wolong Nature Reserve, China led a paper on giant panda foraging patterns and movement across seasons. Vanessa Hull served as a co-author. We found some interesting panda-bamboo space-time relationships. For instance, we found that the time required for shoots to reach optimum height increased with elevation, a pattern that also corresponded to panda elevational migration. Check it out here!
Thomas Connor leads a paper in the latest issue of Ecography on the impact of grain size and niche breadth on species distribution models. Vanessa Hull served as a co-author. Check it out here. Read more press on the paper here.
